In-house repairs start at $50 — tube changes, receiver swaps, cleaning, and more. Shipped repairs that are still under warranty are covered at no charge. Out-of-warranty shipped repairs start at $325. We'll always give you a quote before proceeding.
Yes. We repair and service hearing aids regardless of where they were purchased — including online retailers and other providers. All major brands.
In-house repairs are same-day — we usually recommend dropping them off so we can take our time and get it right. Shipped manufacturer repairs typically take 5–10 business days. We'll let you know which route makes sense before we start.
Often yes. Remove the battery (or turn off rechargeable), don't use a hair dryer, and bring it in as soon as possible. We have professional drying equipment and can assess internal damage. The sooner you get it to us, the better the odds.
If your aids are 3+ years old, need frequent repairs, or your hearing has changed significantly, upgrading is usually more cost-effective. Dr. Hooter will always be straight with you — if a repair makes more sense, that's what we'll recommend.
